Camping Gear - Is It Money Well Spent?
If you have never been camping before then your first task is to get yourself some essential camping gear. Buying new gear can be a costly exercise and if you do not have very deep pockets, or if you are on a tight budget, you might want to consider used camping gear instead.
Just as with anything that you buy in used condition, you need to be sure that your used camping gear meets the basic requirements or still functions properly. Buying used gear is also simpler that buying new gear, as you are more inclined not to let the price tag affect your judgment. However just like buying any used gear, choose the wrong one and you more often than not have to kiss your money good-bye. So it is fair to say that buying used camping gear has both its advantages and disadvantages.
